Fourth of July
Annual Fourth of July Honoring our Troops.
The Holly Lake Church of Christ will have a special program on July 3 to show our support for our troops and make the people of the community aware of their great scarify. We hope to have an Apache Attach Helicopter from Fort Hood on the parking lot of the church building. Come and join us in honoring our troops July 3, 2010 at 6:30PM. Hot dogs and apple pie will be served beginning at 5:30PM.

Major General Harold Gary Bunch assumed the duties of the U.S. Army Materiel Command’s Assistant Deputy Commanding General for Reserve Affairs on May 19, 2009. Previously he was the Deputy Commander for Mobilization and Operations, U.S. Army Sustainment Command, Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Ill.
Major General Bunch has served in a variety of command and staff assignments. Commissioned as a Regular Army second lieutenant in December 1976, he began his military career as the petroleum platoon leader with the 501st
Supply & Transportation Battalion, 1st Armored Division, Fuerth, Germany. He later served as the Operations Officer, S-3, for the 501st S&T Battalion and as the Supply Officer, S-4, for the Special Troops Battalion, 13th Support Command, Fort Hood, Texas. He left active duty in May 1982 and joined the U.S. Army Reserve.
His command assignments include: the Logistics Support Element, Task Force 420, Honduras, Central America; Logistics Support Company, Joint Task Force Jaguar, Belize and Guatemala, Central America; 694th Maintenance Battalion, San Antonio, Texas; 172nd Corps Support Group, Broken Arrow, Okla., which he mobilized and deployed to Balad, Iraq from January through December 2004 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program
Support Unit, Fort Belvoir, Va. and Deputy Commanding General, 1st Sustainment Command (Theater), Camp Arifjan, Kuwait and Fort Bragg, N.C.
His key staff assignments include Operations Officer, S-3, 519th Maintenance Battalion, Dallas Texas; Operations Officer, S-3 and Support Operations Officer, 363rd Corps Support Group, San Marcos, Texas; and Assistant Director, Casualty-Memorial Affairs Operations Center, U.S. Army Human Resources Command, Alexandria, Va.
His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit (with Oak Leaf Cluster), Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (with four Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation Medal (with four Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal (with two Oak Leaf Clusters), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal (with Bronze Star), Iraqi Campaign Medal (with three Bronze Stars), and the Combat Action Badge.

Dr. Dave Miller
Dr. Miller is a graduate of Lubbock Christian University, where he earned a B.A. degree in speech and Bible. He earned his M.A. degree in speech communication from Texas Tech University, and his M.Th. and M.A.R. from the Harding Graduate School of Religion. He also is a graduate of Southern Illinois University, where he earned his Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Public Address.
